During Assembly this week, Mrs. Stevenson’s Grade 3 class explained how useful composting is in our gardens! As part of a weekly routine, the children collect food scraps from the cafeteria to add to the school garden compost.

Grade 3 then took over the teaching and showed Mrs. Lester’s Grade 2 class how to add the food scraps to the composter, including layering them with dry wood chips. We wish you all a happy gardening year ahead!
